Art Projects Ibiza
On one of the roads from Santa Eulària to the roundabout to Talamanca and Marina Botafoch, you will find this interesting space devoted to modern art that opens all year round. With the support of the private collection Lune Rouge, it organizes two yearly exhibitions. Until next December 16th, you may visit the exhibition planned for the second half of the year: Asymmetrical Response. Created by conceptual artists, Olia Lialina and Cory Arcange, this suggestive work explores how the relationship between the digital user and the Internet has evolved in time. MACE
The Modern Art Museum (Museu d’Art Contemporani d’Eivissa), only a few meters away from the entrance to Dalt Vila via the Portal de Ses Taules, is one of the must-sees for people who are interested in artistic creation. The museum has a permanent exhibition that includes several pieces of work, including an interesting collection of Japanese engravings. As for the non-permanent exhibitions, this summer brings us “Sky Studies - Black and Blue” by the North American artist Jim Hodges, open until spring 2018; the collection of modern drawings in the sample of work “Donated by Florence & Daniel Guerlain to the Centre Pompidou” and the exhibition “donde nada ocurre” (where nothing happens), by Irene de Andrés that is a trip down memory lane focusing on Ibiza’s nightclubs like Idea, Festival Club, Heaven, Toro Mar and Glory’s, that are now abandoned or closed down. La Nave Salinas
Opened in 2015, this exhibition space is in the Natural Park of Ses Salines and hosts state-of-the-art creations. This summer, until 30th September, you will find an exceptional exhibition on the North American artist Keith Haring, who died in 1990. This exhibition shows four of his greatest pieces: Untitled (DV8), Channel Surf Club – Knokke and Tokyo Pop Shop. Don’t miss it! Web
