Ibiza in 48 hours - Spring
We are all getting excited about the coming sun, days on the beach, meals by the sea, drinks on a terrace and unpredictable nights... right? You might not believe this, but we don’t need the summer to enjoy a wonderful weekend break in Ibiza. Spring is a marvellous season to spend a fabulous weekend on the island. If you’re already checking your diary, don’t miss the following suggestions given by Hostal La Torre for a perfect 48 hours in Ibiza.
FRIDAY In Ibiza
- The welcome: As you will probably arrive in the afternoon, after leaving your luggage in your room or suite at Hostal La Torre, have a drink on our terrace as the sun starts to dip on the horizon and gets ready for the famous Ibiza sunset.
- Dinner: the weather in spring is still quite chilly during the night, so we suggest you have dinner at the Villa Mercedes restaurant, where you will find a carefully prepared menu in the middle of San Antonio’s promenade. Also, if you’d like a drink after dinner, they have an extensive cocktail menu.
Saturday in Ibiza
- The morning route: We expect that you’d like to go out and explore the island. In that case, we suggest that you head to the eastern side of the island as you’ll find the hippy street market of Las Dalias set up every Saturday in the village of Sant Carles. From Hostal La Torre, the route by car would be: Santa Agnés – Sant Mateu – Santa Gertrudis (stop for a coffee on the pedestrian precinct by the church) – Sant Llorenç – Mercadillo de Las Dalias.
- Lunchtime: on the eastern coast of Ibiza, you will have a wide choice of places to have lunch by the sea. You can choose between Mediterranean food at Atzaró Beach Restaurant, in Cala Nova; traditional home cooking at Hostal Es Alocs in Es Figueral; rice dishes at La Noria in Cala Boix; or the fish stew bullit de peix at Salvadó in Pou des Lleó.
- In the afternoon: have a stroll through the narrow streets of Dalt Vila, the old part of Ibiza and go shopping to the boutique shops in La Marina quarter, by the old port.
- Dinner: after your stroll, go to La Cava restaurant on the emblematic avenue of Vara de Rey. On their menu, you’ll find a careful selection of dishes inspired by Spanish tapas and other Mediterranean flavours.
sunday in Ibiza
For the last day of your break, we suggest you stay on the western coast of Ibiza to make it easier to get to the airport. For the last hours there, you can enjoy a relaxed morning in Cala Gracioneta, only a few minutes away from Hostal La Torre on foot. Small, quiet, with crystal-clear waters and a sandy sea bed. You can also end the weekend by enjoying delicious paella or a tasty fish dish at Cala Gracioneta beach bar. There’s no better way to enjoy your last hours on Ibiza...
