Ibiza is starting to wave summer 2018 goodbye. The summer has gone by very fast for us and for those who have enjoyed a wonderful holiday on the island and in the suites and rooms of Hostal La Torre. But even if autumn is now here, there are still a few weeks left with the scent and mood of the summer. Read on to find out about four plans to finish off summer 2018.

Ibiza in september and october: the calendar

the exhibition: POP

The POP exhibition will come to its end next 28th September. This exhibition shows an interesting sample of 46 works of art belonging to the Pop Art movement and is open to the public in the Far de Ses Coves Blanques and Sa Punta des Moli showrooms in San Antonio. The selection of works includes creations by well-known artists such as Andy Warhol, Jim Dine, Richard Hamilton, Robert Indiana, David Lachapelle, Roy Lichtenstein, Vanessa Beecroft, Herb Ritts, James Rosenquist, Tom Weselman, Eduardo Úrculo, Rafael Armengol, Lluís Güell or Salvador Dalí.

the closing: Café Mambo

One of the most special days in the Ibizan summer is the closing party thrown by Café Mambo that every years amasses a wealth of good memories and unique moments. It’s held early October and brings together an exceptional line-up of DJs. If you don’t want to miss one of the best known events in Ibiza, keep an eye on Café Mambo’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts where they will soon announce the day for the party and the line-up.

the festival: Ibiza Light Festival

If your getaway falls on the weekend of 12th-13th October, don’t forget to go to the harbour and La Marina district in Ibiza as they will be hosting the Ibiza Light Festival. This cultural event fills with light and colour some of the most iconic spots in the island’s capital with its mix of lights, audio-visual effects and performance art.

the sports event: Ibiza Trail Marathon

If you like trail running and you're staying at Hostal La Torre boutique hotel, you mustn’t miss this sports event on 28th October. We know that this proposal is quite a bit later, at the height of autumn, but we couldn’t help mentioning it because the route goes by the most beautiful spots in the north-western side of Ibiza and passes by the terrace of our hotel.
