5 Magical places in Ibiza where you can practice yoga at your pace
If you're looking for magical places in Ibiza to stretch out your mat, you've come to the right place. Firstly because Hostal La Torre stands in a fabulous natural setting dotted with stone terraces that are perfect for the sun salutation. Secondly because this post will suggest another four places for your to practice yoga at your own pace. Namaste!
magic place in Ibiza #1: the cliffs of cala d´Hort
The view of Es Vedrà is relaxing in itself with its unique mind-calming silhouette. But if you also take your mat there in the morning you’ll be sure to get a good dose of positive energy. You can either choose the cliffs on the path of the Torre des Savinar tower or the cliffs near the Cala d’Hort car park. Another excellent choice is the boathouse ramps on the southern side of the cove, that are very quiet first thing in the morning.
Ses Portes: stretch out your mat facing Formentera
If you’d like to combine a walk with yoga, head north and stretch your mat next to the Torre de Ses Portes tower on the promontory that divides the beaches of Ses Salines and Es Cavallet. It’s quiet there. You’ll only be accompanied by the sound of the waves and wide-open views of Formentera and the islets of Ses Freus. And after a yoga session, you can always swim in one of the tiny secluded coves on the way back to the Ses Salines beach car park.
Cap Negret: a session with a rewarding healthy and delicious breakfast
The coast of Cap Negret is one of our favourite magical places in Ibiza. It may be rugged and not very inviting to lie down, but it does has a few paved areas where you can happily practice your favourite yoga positions. It also offers fabulous views of the sea and Conillera island, as well as delicious and healthy breakfasts at Hostal La Torre: the best reward after an inspiring yoga session in Cap Negret.
If you’re one of our guests and you’d rather have all the comforts for your yoga session, you may also use our fantastic lounge overlooking the sea. For more information on yoga classes and courses in Ibiza, don’t hesitate in asking our front desk staff.
Salutation to the north: Moscarter lighthouse
Another excellent option combines a walk with yoga and a sea view. Breathe in deep and fill your lungs with fresh Mediterranean air from this ideal spot to stretch out your mat. Getting to the tallest lighthouse in the Balearic Islands is very easy from the neighbouring village of Portinatx, as you can see in our previous post Beautiful spots in Ibiza: Moscarter lighthouse. It’s bound to become one of your favourite places in the northern part of the island.
From your mat to the sea: Punta Galera
Very near Hostal La Torre you will also find the terraces at Punta Galera, an old coastal quarry that is now perfect to lie down and practice yoga, sunbathe and... dive into the sea. If you go towards the end of the day, your yoga session will have the added bonus of the sunset. This is doubtlessly one of the magical places in Ibiza that you should know about, even if you don’t practice yoga. And it goes perfectly well with a delicious Mediterranean meal at the modern beach bar of Cala Gracioneta, on the cove that shares its name.
And an extra clue: yoga with the scents of nature at Casa Maca
