5 tips to enjoy a healthy autumn
The ochre and reddish hues that colour the landscape across the planet this season have turned autumn into a favourite season for many. However, during these months, not only do the leaves from deciduous trees fall: but also the temperature, your mood, the hours of light and even your hair. For this reason, Hostal La Torre has prepared a list of tips to face autumn as best as possible.
1. First of all, don’t lower your guard
We know that now that Ibiza is quiet once again and the weather is still mild, you will want to sit at a terrace at midday with a nice cold beer or watch the sunset from our fantastic terrace. These are ideal plans, of course, but remember that it’s quite easy to catch a cold when the temperatures tend to change so suddenly. Don’t lower your guard and always carry a warm garment with you.
2. Keep ginger at hand
Besides its extensive benefits for your digestive system, this root also helps prevent and relieve cold and flu symptoms, such as a temperature, a sore throat or chest congestion.
3. Walk for an hour every day
Putting on your trainers and going out for a walk will bring many benefits: increase your defences, improve your mood, protect your joints and strengthen your muscles because walking makes you move a third of all your muscles. And it’s completely free! We recommend the beautiful promenade in San Antonio: and you can end up with a well-deserved juice or smoothie at Bondi.
4. Keep your hair on!
Don’t worry if your brush is stealing more hairs than usual these months. Autumn doesn’t only make leaves fall: your hair also falls out as part of its renewing cycle to get rid of dead hair. But after the summer, it’s always best to make an extra effort to get the shine and moisture back into it after all that swimming in the sea or the pool. A good remedy is natural jojoba oil: warm it up with your hands and rub it into your hair. Leave it in for half an hour before washing your hair as usual.
5. Try a new activity
After an extremely busy summer in Ibiza, less work can -ironically- make your mood plummet too. If you wish to avoid being paralysed by the shift from a frantic rhythm to a much milder one, add a new and appealing activity to your diary, such as a cookery course, language lessons or Yoga lessons. If you liked this last option, ask us about our Yoga lessons overlooking the sea.
